Utes In The PaddockAn Outdoor Sculpture Gallery
Utes In The Paddock is an Sculpture Installation conceived by Ana and Graham Pickles of Burrawang West Station, Ootha. Not only is the location unexpected, the medium is too. The display features 20 Holden utes each painted by an Australian Artist. Peter Mortimore contributed “Clancy Stops The Overflow”, a nod to two Australian classics; Clancy Of The Overflow and Bundaberg Rum.
Recently the Lachlan Shire Council purchased a 60 acre block on the The Gipps Way, Condobolin to relocate the utes in a new outdoor gallery. Peter along with many of the other artists have repainted their work in preparation for the opening of the new gallery in early 2018.
